You can purchase tickets in-person at the museum at our front desk. We take debit, credit, and Apple Pay. We will update when we are able to take cash and/or provide an option online tickets. We apologize for the inconvenience and will update as soon as we can.

Where to park? 

There is multiple parking garages and lots that the public has accessed to. There is also metered street parking near courthouse. We HIGHLY recommend parking at El Presidio Parking Garage. Through our partnership with Pima County, parking validation is available for paid museum visitors that park in El Presidio Parking Garage ONLY.

Guided Tours

The University of Arizona Alfie Norville Gem & Mineral Museum is happy to announce that we will be continuing to offer guided tours. Guided tours are an immersive experience narrated tours by the museum staff and docents for up to 20 people. The guided tour will last about 1.5-2 hours. Tours must be booked online and in advance. Parking validation in El Presidio Parking Garage included with purchase of tickets.* (Please see below for parking information.) Mask wearing is highly encouraged, but not required for the duration of your visit.

To make your experience more enjoyable, please note the following guidelines:

o Please arrive prior to your scheduled tour. Tours will start and end promptly at designated times. 

o No food or drinks may be brought into the museum from outside.

o Pets are not allowed inside the museum, service animals that are trained to do a specific task are welcome. Do not leave pets unattended in vehicles.

o No weapons.

o Please do not enter the museum facility if you have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, are experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat right now, or have experienced symptoms like a fever, a new loss of taste or smell, vomiting, diarrhea, or fever in the last 48 hours.

o Pre-purchase your ticket through our online portal.

o Please maintain a safe distance of at least 6 feet between your group and employees and other visitors (>6 feet whenever possible).

o Keep your children close within your group at all times.

o You will see hand-sanitizing stations throughout facility. Please use as much as needed. If you need to touch a high touch surface such as a door handle, sanitize your hands as soon as possible. Museum personnel will sanitize interactives and touchables frequently.

o Be sure to wash hands, avoid touching your face, and practice good respiratory etiquette such as sneezing into your elbow rather than into the air.

*Validation of parking in El Presidio Parking Garage will occur following paying visitors visit to museum. Validation is ONLY available at El Presidio Parking Garage (address 165 W Alameda St). Validation will occur at the Pima County Southern Arizona Heritage Center directly across the museum, see museum staff at front desk for more details. Validation will NOT be available after 2pm.
