Maria Miranda
As a native Tucsonan, Maria loves the University of Arizona community and calls it home. She has worked with the University of Arizona for over ten years and spent the majority of that time helping students and parents navigate their financial accounts. Maria has a passion for helping our local and neighboring communities and is excited to join the Alfie Norville Gem and Mineral Museum. Living in Tucson, and traveling back and forth to Mexico, she has had an appreciation for gems and minerals since she was young and has fond memories of searching for minerals with her dad and grandfather in Mexico. She also remembers visiting the museum when it was at Flandrau and is thrilled to see it housed at the Historic Pima County Courthouse downtown. The downtown facility is beautiful and will bring many hours of enjoyment and education to Tucson visitors and the community. When off duty, Maria enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and anything Wildcats.
