Selena Valencia

Assistant Manager

Selena Valencia received a double B.A. in Art History and Creative Writing from the University of Arizona (2017) and M.S. in Digital Audience Strategy from Arizona State University (2021).  Her past experience has included working as an Exhibits intern at the University of Arizona Museum of Art, being a NASA Space Grant intern, and being a student excavator at the Campo della Fiera in Orvieto, Italy. She was asked and accepted to be a speaker at the 26th Annual Art History Graduate Student Association’s Art History Graduate Symposium on Art and Authenticity in Tucson, AZ, being the only undergraduate to present her research on Icelandic Art. She previously has worked as an Event Specialist at Reid Park Zoo where she organized private and public events, supervised part time workers, and assisted with media materials. In 2018, she went on to teach English and Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes at an alternative Arizona high school with Rose Management Group. Selena’s teaching consisted of working with at risk youth, SPED and disabled students, minority students and non-traditional high school students.
